Carrot, Banana & Kale FODMAP-friendly muffins



In case you’ve forgotten, FODMAP foods are short chain carbs that are poorly absorbed by the small intestine and thus begin to ferment, encouraging bad bacteria.

The acronym for this is the completely non-memorable, Fermentable Oligo-, Di- and Mono-saccharides, and Polyols, which is one of the reasons why this collection of foods to avoid is so confusing.

But if you are battling stomach and digestion disorders at the moment, or just feel excessive bloating and gas, you might want to avoid these foods to see if your symptoms improve.

    I must go look at that site but I did just want to say that kale is actually high in fructose which wouldn’t be so good for those like me with fructose intolerance.
